Houthi militias are causing 8 oil tankers to be stopped in front of Hudaydah Port

Until now, the Houthi militias are causing 8 oil tankers to be stopped in front of Hudaydah Port because they are not allowing the traders that are importing these shipments to submit their documents and apply for an import permit from the Technical Office of the Economic Committee. They are using terrorism and threats of detention and confiscation of funds, and are stopping the business operations of the traders that are adhering to the decrees issued by the government. This is clearly a part of a plan to increase activity in the black markets, which are managed by the Houthis militias and used to finance their operations while increasing the suffering of the people. They are also insisting on taking this position in order to avoid adhering to banking standards to control money laundering and terrorism financing and ensure the stability of the value of the currency. These steps are also meant to hinder the efforts of the government and the UN Special Envoy to pay civil servant salaries.
